trash was collected

i rushed home to catch up with the contractors and it was just in the nick of time before they left at 5.30pm. i wanted to ensure i got the chance to hear updates from them.

all seemed to be in a good shape.

the piano was moved back to its old place. the living room window panes were installed. the showers were installed. the kitchen island location was marked accurately. the trash was also collected-- no, no...the real trash from the plaster work, the tiles/wood/brick remnants etc.

did we have problems? but of course. i was informed that because the walls were out of shape when they were first built 20 years ago, the 6-panel door couldn't be installed standing straight. yes, it would be  slanted a bit. naturally we weren't too pleased to receive this news. i told the carpenter to come up with a plan how to work this out. i would not accept a crooked door.
